Common Cause – North Carolina

Common Cause North Carolina is dedicated to ending gerrymandering in North Carolina and establishing a nonpartisan redistricting system that gives voters a real choice and a voice in choosing their representatives.

They recently scored a HUGE victory when a federal court ordered North Carolina lawmakers to redraw the currently gerrymandered districts by March 2017.

North Carolina certainly isn’t alone in their efforts to (unethically) gerrymander districts, and supporters of the redistricting¬†movement hope that this ruling could serve as a template for¬†other parts of the country.
