Randy Bryce + Mustache Take on Lyin’ Ryan in WI-01

You’ve probably never heard of Randy Bryce. You probably don’t know that he’s already semi-famous for being a veteran, an iron worker, and a man with a badass mustache. But you probably DID know that House Speaker Paul Ryan is the worst of the worst in a D.C. swamp full of bottom-feeders.

Randy Bryce (@IronStache) seems to be Trump and Ryan’s worst nightmare. Beyond totally nailing the branding of an Iron Worker with a bomb mustache (hence the handle @IronStache), Bryce is a life-long resident of the district he’s running in, a Bernie Sanders supporter, and strong progressive voice running as a challenger to Speaker Ryan, the face of the GOP establishment.

Bryce became interested in politics after Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was elected and began enacting radical right-wing economic policies that decimated public education and labor unions. Walker ultimately angered enough Wisconsinites that they forced a recall vote to remove him from office.

Bryce was inspired to run for the State Assembly in 2012, and then the State Senate in 2014, but was unsuccessful both times.

Fortunately, past performance doesn’t always dictate the future. In his first campaign video opposing Paul Ryan, Bryce rails against both Trumpism and Ryanism, winning him the attention every candidate dreams about.

Overnight, Randy Bryce’s video went viral, racking up millions of views. Suddenly, the spotlight is on Paul Ryan’s re-election campaign, and this recent no-name (who has now become a big name) with a mustache hopes to give him a run for his money.

Time will tell how it works out, but for now, watch the video that made him famous, and consider reading more about his campaign on his website. And be sure to follow the ‘stache on Twitter @IronStache.

Exclusive Interview: PA-07 Candidate Molly Sheehan

The midterms are still over a year away, yet races are already heating up around the country. Pennsylvania’s 7th congressional district is currently represented by Republican Patrick Meehan and is also one of the most highly gerrymanded districts. Yet despite the fact that Rep. Gwen Graham – (D) Florida Gubernatorial Candidate

The last Democrat to win be elected Governor of Florida was Lawton Chiles back in 1994. While the elections since then have often been close, with incumbent Rick Scott only winning by a single point in both 2010 and 2014, Democrats have simply been unable to turn the state blue …
