New Pod: Meet Keith Powers – (D) NYC City Council District 4

On September 12, Keith Powers broke through a crowded field of nine candidates to earn the Democratic nomination for New York City Council District 4. A dedicated Democratic district leader and local community activist, the 32-year-old received 41% of the vote.

On the newest episode of the podcast, Jordan Valerie speaks with Keith about Mayor de Blasio, New York’s abysmal voter turnout, and every New Yorkers’ favorite topic, public transportation.

The November 7 general election is coming quickly, where Keith will be on the ballot alongside a Republican and a Liberal Party candidate.
