Swing Left is Taking Back the House

Almost a year into Donald Trump’s illegitimate presidency, the 2016¬†election already feels like a lifetime ago, a distant nightmare overshadowed by… well, essentially everything Trump has done since. But the devastating results of that election, in which Republicans for the first time since 2004 won a federal trifecta of the presidency and both chambers of Congress, still echo to this day, with a mostly stagnant Republican-controlled Congress that occasionally passes unquestionably awful legislation like the recent tax bill.

Fortunately, though the nightmare of this GOP trifecta will last till at least January 2019, it seems that a blue wave is coming in the 2018 midterms, one that could help Democrats win back the House of Representatives after eight years of GOP dominance.

Swing Left is one of many organizations working to ensure that this happens.¬†Adrienne Lever, Campaigns Director for Swing Left, joined us on the podcast to discuss Swing Left’s efforts and strategy to win back the House by focusing on the ever-expanding list of swing districts that Millennial Politics too has been focusing on.
